Gibraltar, a tiny British protectorate nigh Spain at the mouth of the Mediterranean Sea, does not loom large in john Rock & roll history: prior to Breed 77, the state came closest to rock importance when John Lennon and Yoko Ono were matrimonial in that location in 1969. A little over a one-fourth century after, Breed 77 (marked "spawn seven septet"), an old school hard-rocking metal band in the dash of Iron Maiden and other New Wave of British Heavy Metal stalwarts, formed in London when its members moved in that location subsequently ontogenesis up together in Gibraltar. Lead isaac M. Singer Paul Isola, guitarist Danny Felice, bassist Stuart Cavilla, and drummer Lawrence Bautista gained instant notoriety on the small merely dedicated U.K. alloy fit; by 1998, Breed 77 had already south Korean won the Kerrang! Readers Poll as best unsigned ring. Signing to the Australian label Albert Productions (best known as AC/DC's country of origin mark) and replacement Bautista with Pete Chichone, Breed 77 debuted with 2001's self-titled album. Fleshing extinct their sound with second guitar player Pedro Caparros, they returned with 2004's Cultura. Replacing Chichone with British drummer Adam Lewis, Breed 77 released their third base album, In My Blood (En Mi Sangre), in September 2006.

Sigur Ros To Release Box Set Edition Of New Album
Sigur Ros are to release a deluxe box set edition of new album 'Me� su� � eyrum vi� spilum endalaust', to be sold exclusively through the band's own online shop.
Each edition is individually numbered and includes a unique strip of 16mm film taken from the video "Gobbledigook" as well as the DVD and album. Pre-Orders of this collector's item are already being taken.
The press release for the box set reads: "This exquisitely presented deluxe edition is a unique document of the creation of Sigur R�s' fifth album in film, photography and music. Given unprecedented access to the final stages of the making and release of the group's new album, photographer Eva Vermandel and film-maker Nicholas Abrahams create an intimate and revealing portrait of the Icelandic quartet at work on their most immediate record to date."

Influenced by American bands like Nirvana, R.E.M., and Galaxie five hundred, German indie rockers Tocotronic started in Hamburg in 1993 when drummer Arne Zank and bassist Jan Müller, wHO had played together antecedently, added singer and guitarist Dirk Von Lowtzow to dispatch their lineup. Taking their sobriquet from the German name for the Nintendo-made herald to the Game Boy, Tricotronic (elsewhere called Game & Watch), Tocotronic released their debut individual, "Meine Freundin und Ihr Freund," in 1994, and before long they had gestural to L'Age d'Or Records -- a label right at the heart of the Beefburger Schule trend -- which issued the band's debut album, Digital Ist Besser, in 1995. And Richards admits she quite liked the attention she got after posing nakedfor the publication four years ago.
She adds, "I think that my niche is as a sex symbol. I'm never going to be the girl next door, so why not play up my niche?"

Raymond star plans a new TV series
'Everybody Loves Raymond' star Ray Romano is working on a new TV drama called 'Men of a Certain Age'.
The US TV network TNT has ordered a one-hour pilot episode for the show, which will star Romano.
The series looks at a man approaching middle age and the dynamics of male friendship.
Romano wrote the pilot script with his 'Everybody Loves Raymond' writing partner Mike Royce.
In a statement, Michael Wright, Senior Vice President of TNT, said: "'Men of a Certain Age' is about the highs and lows of being a guy in the modern era. It's about three best friends, each hoping to fulfill his dreams before the clock starts running out."

Kiss - Kiss Set Stage Alight At Download
Rock veterans KISS stole the show on the first night of the U.K.'s Download Festival, storming the stage in full costume and their trademark make-up.
The stars hit the stage in Donnington, England on Friday night (13Jun08), after being introduced as "The hottest band in the world".
The four members were lowered to the stage on platforms to kick off their pyrotechnic-filled show with the song Deuce.
Singer/guitarist Paul Stanley paid an early tribute to the crowd, telling festival goers: "Man, it seems like tradition every 10 years we come to Donnington. We couldn't have made it this far without you - we salute you Kiss army!"
They then launched into Strutter before playing their classic album Alive track by track, complete with synchronised dancing and plenty of fireworks, as frontman Gene Simmons pulled his trademark face, sticking his tongue out at every opportunity.
Stanley ensured the audience was fully involved and called on them to join in and sing along with the band.
When they weren't quite loud enough for his liking, he teased them by playing the opening riff of Led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven - prompting the crowd to squeal with delight.
But Stanley wasn't prepared to go all the way, and joked, "Nah. Not tonight - but it'd be great if 50,000 people could sing with us."
Their energetic performance also saw Stanley smash his guitar on stage in the finale, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
But the band weren't quite finished and returned for an encore, which saw Stanley lifted above the crowds on a wire and fly above fans, before concluding their set with Detroit Rock City.

Director Brian De Palma had to censor a montage of Iraq war casualties in his new film 'Redacted' on the insistence of insurance companies, who feared relatives of the victims would sue the filmmakers.
In an interview with Empire Magazine De Palma said: "The insurance companies (didn't want their faces shown). They think that a relative of a dead baby will see the movie in the theatre and be so distressed that they'll bring a lawsuit against us."
'The Untouchables' director's anti-war film initially ended with a harrowing montage of real life fatalities, however the scene has been re-cut to disguise the victims' identities.
In September last year, De Palma received the Venice Film Festival's prestigious Best Director Silver Lion award for his film.

Jessica Simpson - Simpson Romo Continue To Defy Split Reports
Singer/actress JESSICA SIMPSON and her boyfriend TONY ROMO put on a show of unity at the weekend, when they stepped out together for a cosy meal in Dallas, Texas amid rumours of a break-up.
The Dukes of Hazzard beauty is alleged to have been dumped by American footballer Romo earlier this month (May08) - but the two stars appeared to be very much in love as they enjoyed a meal at the N9NE Steakhouse in Dallas on Saturday (24May08).
A source tells People.com, "They were holding hands, in a good mood and happy. They looked like they were on a date together. (They) looked happy and were laughing and smiling."
